Our client is an Australian Success story specialising in pre-paid business cards.
The Senior Business Analyst is a newly created role reflecting the expansion and of the business.
The role could be described as a Product Oriented Business Analyst or Product Owner, acting a bridge between Development and Product teams and collaborating with internal teams to translate well defined Customer Value Propositions (CVPs) into technical requirements ready for sizing.
You will act as the primary contributor to grooming, coordinates sprint planning with IT and providing clarification of development questions.
You will also Identify changes to existing policies, procedures and workflows as input into market readiness.
Your key responsibilities will include :
Translating approved CVPs for new products and feature enhancements and other system requirements (e.g. regulatory, compliance, security, other) into effective, well-structured and detailed technical requirements
Cross-business collaboration (Product Managers, internal workshops, Bus Ops, IT), market monitoring and assessment of emerging technologies, to deliver innovative, seamless solutions.
Facilitating discovery sessions to capture deep level requirements.
Working with Solution Architecture on design and validation (in collaboration with COIS and CTO), Product Management and CEO on major projects before requirements stage.
Vendor negotiations (for new products and feature enhancements).
Requirements specification (stories for internal builds, technical specifications for 3rd party builds), coordination and scheduling of stories, etc
UAT, process validation and post release validation including creating testing strategy and plans for all releases.
Your ideal background:
10 years as a Product Owner/Business Analyst
Strong understanding of eCommerce principles
Experience in Agile environments
Strategic thinking and vision to develop innovative product solutions.
Ability to collaborate and coordinate effectively across business functions
Strategic thinking and problem solving
Technical expertise and proficiency. Strong understanding of technology and it potential to drive innovation.
Resourceful, self-educating and proactive staying abreast of emerging technologies and how they can be leveraged to drive innovation.
Adaptability and flexibility
Communication and influence. Effectively communicate the vision of requirements and product solutions.
Effective planning, time management skills and deadline orientated.
This is a permanent role based on the fringe of the CBD.
