
Disability Support Worker

experience Treasure Disability Care is in need of a support worker in the Cessnock NSW area. Applicants need to have minimum experience in the National Disability Insurance Scheme NDIS to provide care for the disabled.
**What you need**:
- Experience supporting people in SILs with physical & intellectual disabilities
- Experience driving a company van to transport clients
- **Australian Driver's License**:
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Manual Handling Training
- Medication Training (face-to-face)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Reliable smart phone with data
- Catheter Care
- Bowel Care
**Overview of the role**:
- Provide day-to-day support to people with a disability in various environments to help them improve their independence and achieve their goals.
- 24-hour care model, meaning staff are required to work a combination of shifts - morning (from 6am), afternoon (from 2pm), overnight (predominately sleep overs)
- Assist participants with the range of personal activities including hygiene support, use of manual handling equipment, medication assistance, domestic assistance, meals.
- Assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities.
- Support people within both group settings and 1-on-1 arrangements.
- Must be able to drive company vans to transport participants to community-based outings.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term, Casual
**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
