We're searching for people who genuinely love interacting with customers and who have a “nothing is too much trouble” attitude to help deliver a customer experience that customers keep returning for.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Creating a stellar customer experience for every single customer that visits our shops by listening to their needs, sharing product knowledge and exceeding their expectations
- Handling produce and presenting it beautifully in our window displays and to our customers
- Responding to customer queries via telephone
- Preparing customer orders and ensuring they’re ready in a timely manner and as per the customers’ request
- Operating the POS and taking payment
- Contributing to a fun and productive team experience
- Clearly communicating with the Butchers to ensure customer needs are met
- General cleaning and maintenance of the shop and equipment

Established in 1999, Hagen's is a second-generation family owned artisan butcher which is now being run by siblings Oliver and Ruby Hagen.

Hagen's has been a long-term player in the meat industry, paving the way forward with their dedication and commitment for providing customers a healthier, more environmentally friendly way of eating and championing organic produce. Working closely with farmers around Australia, our goal is to help create a sustainable industry which has respect for the land, animals and producers.

With 4 stores and a warehouse across Melbourne plus an increasingly busy online store, Hagen's continues to build and plan for further growth and our team are a critical key to the success of the brand.

**Skills, qualities and experience we’re looking for include**:

- Friendly, warm approach and positive attitude
- Prior customer service experience in a food retailer
- Prior customer service in meat or poultry retail is a bonus
- Great communicator - speaks clearly, keeps everyone informed and adapts communication to suit different individuals
- A true team player - supports their team get things done and hates the “that’s not my job” catchphrase as much as we do
- Super reliable and displays a high degree of integrity
- An interest in food/cooking coupled with a willingness to learn about our produce and how to prepare it
