**The opportunity**:
Supporting the trans-disciplinary team is a resource collection managed by the Librarian and supported by allied health assistants. This specialised collection is extensive and supports ESA philosophy of play and family-centred therapy. Toys, therapy games, software, equipment, books, journals and professional literature are available for therapists to use with their clients. The resource collection is managed using Athenaeum Light library software with the intent to upgrade the library management system to cloud based Athenaeum.

We are looking for a creative team player with digital and information skills who enjoys creating materials, cataloguing and managing a specialised resource collection.

**Your day could include**:
Undertaking cataloguing and classification of equipment, books, assessment kits and toy resources onto the Athenaeum Light library management system

Administration of Sharepoint - knowledge bank of multi-disciplinary digital content

Supervise and mentor the resource allied health assistants

Providing user training to therapists and placement students on library database, bibliotherapy and searching techniques

Prepare and monitor resource collection and quick craft budget

Catalogue items using RDA - original and copy cataloguing

**What you need to join**:
A recognised library and information qualification and eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.

Experience in the use and development of library management systems

Working knowledge of a library processes, procedures, and databases

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Previous experience working with children or young people with developmental delays, ideally a minimum of 6 months

Curiosity and a willingness to adapt and be flexible

Empathy and confidentiality dealing with sensitive or complex issues

**Desirable**: a qualification in early childhood development

**Compliance**: First Aid Certificate, Working With Children Check, National Police Check, Vulnerable Person Related Employment Check
