Bethanie is a leading not for profit aged care provider based in Western Australia. For over 70 years, we have been empowering ageing Australians to lead their most meaningful lives by recognising ‘old age’ as a positive force in society and giving a voice to those who have seen it all and live to tell the tale.
We are currently seeking a passionate and customer-focused Village Manager to join our team at Bethanie Fields Retirement Village, located in Eaton. Co-located with an aged care home, Bethanie Fields is home to a welcoming village community consisting of 145 units and 210 residents. The village is dynamic with a resident-led annual fete, active Men’s Shed and a gardening group.
As Village Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the operational and financial success of the village are maintained, as well as the general wellbeing of our residents.
This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis, with working hours being 8.30am - 4.30pm and requires an element of being ‘on-call’ in an emergency situation.
**About You**
- Previous experience in the retirement or health industry is preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Retirement Villages Act and understanding of the needs of older people
- Strong work ethic, internal drive and the ability to go the extra mile to ensure you deliver an outstanding customer experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - including the ability to communicate effectively with various individuals of varying ages and backgrounds
- High level of organisational, administrative and attention to detail skills
- Ability to manage budgets, interpret financial statements and use financial management software
- Experience using Microsoft Office
- Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations (minimum of one covid and annual flu)
**The Role**
- As the primary point of contact for residents, you will take ownership and be responsible for proactively anticipating resident needs, addressing their concerns and ensuring the site delivers an outstanding quality of life
- Actively promote the village, assisting with all sales and marketing events as required
- Organise, promote and facilitate resident activities, functions and events that enhance resident lifestyle and enjoyment
- Assist in sales enquiries and smooth the transition of new residents into their new accommodation, welcoming them into the community
- Communicate with residents on a regular basis regarding activities, services, building improvements and ensure appropriate maintenance and presentation of the site
- Be part of a wider team of Village Managers where a team catch-up once a fortnight via MS Teams and a quarterly face to face meeting is in place.
**Working with Bethanie**
At Bethanie, we are committed to being an employer of choice by creating a supportive and compassionate environment for our people and customers. As well as being part of a stimulating and nurturing work environment, you will also have access to the following benefits:
- Salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum + up to $2,650 for meals and entertainment. Salary packaging allows you to pay for your expenses with money from your salary before tax is taken out. Pay less tax, and your take home pay increases
