**About the role**:
Opportunities exist for a Sample Registration/ Warehouse assistant at our Kensington Office; this is a full time role. We are seeking to appoint multiple Sample Registration Officers in our Sample Registration department who will be directly responsible for communicating with external and internal stakeholders, logistics, and registration of various types of samples such as Routine Quality Assurance, Quarantine, AQIS Imported Foods and Shelf Life samples. Due to high testing volumes we currently have vacancies for the following positions

**Responsibilities**:

- Sorting and prioritising samples that are to be pre-registered or manually registered
- Receive and label samples
- Directing samples to the correct laboratories
- Communicate with internal and external clients about basic queries
- Work closely within a Team Environment as well as working autonomously.
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Assign appropriate tests for the particular sample matrix
- Problem solving such as missing sample submission forms
- Working to strict deadlines
- Ensure all work practices within the area are performed to the relevant standards and procedures
- Refer to and interpret guidelines and regulatory requirements such as AQIS and IFIP
- sample registration experience (Desirable)
- Hands on experience in a laboratory environment (Desirable)
- Receipting of Goods
- Stock control and administration
- Coordinating facilities maintenance calls
- Liaising with suppliers
- Sample Retention
- Maintaining cleaning schedules

**What We Are Looking For**:

- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Forklift Licence (Desirable)
- Knowledge of supply chain management and related fields
- Strong numeracy, literacy and organisational skills
- Safe manual handling practices and comprehensive understanding of safety procedures
- Ability to follow processes and procedure accurately.
- Systems experience Microsoft Office and other specialist stock tracking software.

Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing will be a requirement of working on site.
