**AMEB PIANO TEACHING POSITION (STARTING 2026, TERM 1 - WEEKLY THURSDAYS, 3:30 PM-8:45 PM, 29TH JANUARY)**

We offer 1:1 lessons in Piano, Violin, Guitar, Ukulele, and Music Theory, catering to a wide range of learners, from young beginners to students pursuing AMEB exams. We hold regular performance opportunities, including mid-year and end-of-year concerts, as well as mini-recitals throughout the year.

Teachers have opportunities to host, assist, or even perform at concerts Teachers can also host Group Theory Classes for AMEB or beginner theory students. We also enjoy spending time together as a team by sharing delicious meals and catch-ups.

**ABOUT THE POSITION**:

- Experience teaching beginner piano students and preparing students for AMEB piano exams—i.e., Piano Series Repertoire, Piano Series Comprehensive, Piano for Leisure Repertoire, and Piano for Leisure Comprehensive exams. Experience preparing students for video and/or in-person exams.
- Familiarity with a variety of beginner method books and the AMEB exam syllabus.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
- The ability to tailor lessons to individual student needs and provide clear, written weekly homework instructions.
- Patience, a passion for teaching young students, and a desire to contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment.

**2026 TERM 1 TEACHING AVAILABILITY**:

- **Start Date: Term 1, 2026 (Thursday, 29th January).** Lessons run following the Victorian School Terms 1,2,3,4. No classes held during Term breaks and public holidays.
- **Student Level: Mostly AMEB Preliminary to Grade 4 students.**

**COMPENSATION & BENEFITS**:

- VIVO Music School offers competitive hourly rates for all contractors (inclusive of 12% superannuation)
- Guaranteed teacher payment for all student absences, ensuring your time and commitment are valued.
- Annual remuneration will also be considered. Specific rates will be discussed upon a successful interview and audition.
