**About us**

The Courts, Civil and Criminal Law (CCCL) group supports the Attorney-General to deliver criminal and civil law policy responsibilities, working collaboratively with key entities across the justice system and the department to ensure legal policy reform is strategic, relevant, holistic and people-centred.

The Justice System Reform (JSR) branch sits within CCCL and leads strategic justice system policy and reform relating to courts and key entities across the justice sector. JSR aims to improve the interconnection and operation of the justice system to inform whole-of-justice strategic decision making through policy, process and budget reforms.

**About the role**

The Principal Policy Officer position will sit in JSR, which:

- Leads strategic justice system reform and key entities across the justice system
- Drives whole of system approaches to innovation, practices and efficiencies
- Provides strategic support and governance for all justice system partners

The advertised Principal Policy Officer role will be responsible for leading and supporting high priority projects across the justice sector, preparing complex briefings and advice, and developing and implementing policy proposals relating to cross justice system reforms.

**About you**
- Experience in leading and managing the development and delivery of large-scale policy, strategy and reform projects.
- Knowledge and experience in driving performance improvements for large scale projects and reform initiatives.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and management
