About the role

Key Responsibilities

Be an active member of the Respite Care Team to plan, develop, implement and evaluate the activity and lifestyle programme in consultation with the respite care recipients, their carers and the Respite Care Team.

Encourage positive interaction, improved self-esteem and a sense of achievement in respite care recipient by assisting them to participate fully in their chosen activities.

Liaise with the Respite Care Coordinator concerning the needs, preferences and capabilities of each respite care recipient to compile appropriate individual activity profiles.

Encourage respite care recipients towards a higher quality of life through participation of meaningful activities during their participation in respite care programs.

Maintain accurate records of group and individual activities and attendance in database.

What you bring

Bright, bubbly personality

Certificate 4 in Lifestyle and Leisure,

aged care experience required

A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
