**BECOME A CHESS COACH**

We are currently training/hiring coaches across various areas of Greater Melbourne to join our dynamic team of coaches delivering a successful chess program to primary schools. Areas include:
Eastern and Western Districts of Melbourne, and also Brighton, Hampton, Armadale, Malvern, Williamstown, Ringwood, Keilor. Geelong and the Bellarine.

Chess For Schools is a boutique provider, delivering a very successful chess program to primary students.

Are you a keen/competent chess player? Can you inspire children? Are you looking for a fulfilling role with flexible hours? If so, becoming a chess coach may be right for you

**THE ROLE**
- Teaching group lessons to children in Primary Schools.
- Class management
- Analysing and coaching children during chess game play.
- Maintaining class roll.

**YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:

- Must be a competent chess player.
- Possess strong communication skills and a clear speaking voice.
- Ability to develop a rapport with children & have fun.
- A teaching or coaching background is highly advantageous; however, all training is provided.

**WORK HOURS**:

- Classes are 50min - 60min during lunchtime or after school (3.30pm).
- Flexibility to choose which days/classes you teach (1 - 8 classes per week).

**VACCINATIONS**:
If successful you will be required to provide proof of double vaccination to schools you enter/teach in.

**WWCC**:
If successful, you will be required to hold a ‘Working with Children Check’ as an Employee.

**Employment**:

- Job Type: Casual Employee
- Salary: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
- Includes Super

**Residency Requirements**

**MUST include a COVER LETTER** summarising any skills or attributes (chess/tutoring/experiences/traits) you consider would make you an ideal chess coach.

Please provide a short description of your own personal experience of chess ie. social, competitive, teaching/tutoring or skills/experience you can attribute to this role.

**Job Type**: Contract

Pay: $24.95 - $60.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday
