**Job location**

Forensicare provides specialist forensic mental health services across 12 of Victoria's 14 prisons with expansion underway to include Western Plains in the Barwon region. Potentially based across multiple sites, our mobile forensic mental health service provides mental health treatment to prisoners experiencing mental ill-health, as well as an outpatient clinic service and initial reception assessments at Metropolitan Remand Centre. This service also provides outpatient services to Barwon, Marngoneet and Kareenga prisons.

**About the Role**:
The Manager is an integral part of the Forensicare services provided at the Metropolitan Remand Centre and has responsibility and accountability for providing high level management including planning, development of human and financial resources and overseeing the delivery of multidisciplinary services.

**Duties**:

- _ Managing and leading a Forensic Mental Health team of clinicians within a custodial setting_
- Contribute at a senior level to strategic planning and service development activities.
- Lead organisational change and service improvement within MRC and satellite locations.
- Coordinate, promote, champion and lead service development processes with demonstrable benefits for clients and the organisation.
- Develop and implement strategies and systems which promote flexibility and timely responses to changing priorities within the prison setting and across the organisation.

**About You**:

- A senior clinician
- Proven ability to effectively lead a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently manage, develop and evaluate a complex mental health program.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, management and supervision of staff and students.
- Proven ability to provide strategic advice in relation to service development and practice within a complex organisational setting.

**What you need**:
**[Nursing]**
- Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency (AHPRA).
- At least 5 years postgraduate experience

**[Occupational Therapy]**
- Approved degree in Occupational Therapy recognised for membership of Occupational Therapy Australia - Australian Association of Occupational Therapists.
- At least 10 years experience preferred
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency (AHPRA).

**[Psychology]**
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited course or equivalent, or a Doctorate degree in Forensic Psychology from an APS accredited course or equivalent.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency (AHPRA).
- At least 10 years postgraduate experience
- Listed as an endorsed supervisor (or eligible for being listed) with AHPRA.

Have you recently graduated?
