We are **“Kafe Washoku,”** a Japanese restaurant located in **Miranda Westfield**.
We serve sushi, sashimi, donburi, salads, and a variety of entrees — all prepared with fresh ingredients and great care.
To strengthen our operations and expand our kitchen team, we are now **hiring additional kitchen staff**.
**1. Position**
**- Hot Food Kitchen Staff (Full-time)** - Minimum 6 months of experience in hot food
**2. Location**
Miranda Westfield Shopping Centre (in front of Woolworths)
**3. Employment Type**
Full-time
**4. Working Hours**
Between 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM (Rostered shifts)
5 days per week (38-45 hours)
Weekend availability required
**5. Pay Rate (based on adult rate, before tax)**
- Weekdays**:$30.00/hour**:
- Saturday**:1.25x**, Sunday**:1.5x**, Public Holiday**:2.25x**:
- **Overtime**: Paid at 1.5-2x for hours over 38/week
- Plus **Annual Leave / Sick Leave / 12% Superannuation**
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Long-term availability
- Any hospitality experience
- Hard-working and reliable
- Able to work under pressure
- Fast learner
- Available 5 days per week (student visa holders not eligible)
**Main Duties**
**Sushi Roll Maker**
- Prepare ingredients, cook rice, set up materials
- Sushi making (rolls, nigiri, etc.) and sashimi cutting
**Hot Food**
- Ingredient prep, rice cooking, frying, and donburi preparation
- You won’t be working alone — full training will be provided._
**We are looking for someone who**:
- Has experience or interest in Japanese cuisine
- Is eager to learn and grow
- Works responsibly and cooperatively within a team
- Can communicate in English (as we have many international staff)
- Holds a valid TFN
- Can commit long-term
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
