Property Management Branch is responsible for a broad range of estate related activities across the entire property life cycle, delivered across six Directorates. The Directorate of Property Interests and Acquisitions (DPIA) is responsible for managing all property acquisition processes, the development, negotiation and ongoing management of indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUAs) and mining exploration and extraction licenses, and associated Deeds of Access.

There are multiple opportunities available within DPIA for enthusiastic, highly motivated self-starters to permanently fill several estate property management roles at the APS4 and 5 levels in Canberra, ACT.

**About our Team**
Property Management Branch is responsible for planning and managing the leasing of properties for Defence, the licensing of Defence properties, management of public private partnership contracts, management of Defence office accommodation within the ACT, the acquisition and disposal of properties, as well as managing Defence estate related requests for information relating to mining, native title and foreign investment.

The Directorate of Property Interests and Acquisitions is responsible for acquiring new land to add to the Defence estate footprint in support of Defence capability requirements as well as managing native title requirements and access to the Defence estate by the resources sector.

Previous experience in property related fields (land/property acquisitions, Mining and Native Title), financial management, project management, and complex procurement experience within the public sector would be highly desirable. Good organisational and communication skills along with attention to detail is important, as our work is often time critical whilst being highly visible and relied upon by Senior Defence leaders.

- conduct reporting, tasking and administrative tasks, including procurement and tasking of contractors undertaking property management support to Defence;
- ensure property data and mapping, correspondence and documentation is kept up to date in the Garrison and Estate Management and Objective systems; and
- provide input into property related Ministerial correspondence, including drafting of responses to politically sensitive property related matters.
