International MineTech organisation seeking a Digital Product Manager

**Your new company**

An international MineTech organisation backed by a global Japanese technology conglomerate is seeking a Digital Product Manager (with a focus on mobile mining assets and digital technology). This role will see you work as part of a new R&D Team at this MineTech’s Australian HQ in Brisbane in a highly funded start up environment akin to Silicon Valley.

**Your new role**

Established over 25 years ago and headquartered in North America, this MineTech organisation services the technological needs of mining companies throughout the world. With clients in several continents along with offices in North America and Australia, this organisation is soon to be brought under the umbrella of its parent organisation resulting in a soon to be created Digital Solutions Division.

Whilst having been in operation for several years, this organisation’s Brisbane based R&D Team operate in a start up like environment. Currently comprising of nine technical professions (four in Brisbane and five overseas), this team is set to go through rapid expansion over the next year.

Your new role as this teams Digital Product Manager will see you work with both the engineering team and end clients on cutting edge digital solutions (initially as prototypes then fully fledged) that will digitalise the operation of mine sites throughout the world. Specialising within the IoT, Cloud, AI and OT domains, the solutions you will be a part of are multifaceted. Such examples can include the location of dump trucks, tonnage of haulage vehicles, status of excavators, etc to be viewed in a cloud-based solutions. This team’s future projections are varied to include fully autonomous vehicles, carbon capture and mining emission reductions.

Working alongside the newly appointed Technical Solutions Manager, your skill set will compliment theirs. Using their deep technical knowledge of IoT and digital mining to focus on the design and build of these solutions, your role will be more outward facing to enable end clients to understand the value, ROI and business advantages of adopting these brand-new cutting-edge solutions.

Not to be focused on a singular ‘product’, your work will see you focus on a range of products and manage the business implications of these. Working with various mining clients, you will gain an understanding of how they will use your cutting edge solutions and gather requirements to change the products to fit their needs. Whilst facing internal and external stakeholders, this role is not to be confused with a sales/pre-sales position, rather as a partner to customers throughout Australia and the world to bring their mine sites into the 21st century.

Whilst based in Brisbane, travel to these third parties not just domestically but intentionally may be required as and when. Alongside this, travel to offices in North America, Japan, etc will be occasionally required throughout your tenure to showcase prototypes, liaise with leadership, witness solutions in situ, etc.

**What you'll need to succeed**

You will need experience/knowledge across:

- Product management
- Digital mining technology (monitoring solutions, vehicle control systems, etc)
- Mobile mining assets (vehicles, longwalls, drones, etc).
- Understanding of value propositions, business planning and ROI’s
- Digital transformation
- Understanding of ESG advantageous
- MBA highly regarded
- Experience working with both a Start Up and corporate environment highly regarded
- Full Australian working rights
