Clinical Educator Perioperative

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Perioperative Clinical Education Team at North West Private Hospital in a full-time capacity. You will be providing education and clinical expertise to nursing staff in our Perioperative environment covering Day surgery, GE, Anaesthetics, Recovery, Scrub Scout and CSSD

**In this role you will be responsible for**:

- Leading and supporting a team of Perioperative Clinical Facilitators to plan, coordinate, and deliver high-quality, evidence-based education programs for the Perioperative space.
- Design, Implement and evaluate education programs through theoretical and clinical activities.
- Facilitating the completion of department based training and clinical competency assessments.
- Providing clinical support to our nursing teams.
- Contributing to the hospital Quality Improvement processes.
- Contribute to the support of undergraduate and students and post graduate nurses with in the perioperative unit
- Promoting a learning culture by encouraging reflection and professional development.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Relevant Nursing Registration with AHPRA.
- Minimum of 3 years’ post registration experience.
- Five (5) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in a perioperative department.
- Demonstrated ability to educate staff in formal and informal settings.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently where required.
- Proficient computer skills including the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment - TAE40116.
- Post Graduate qualifications in the perioperative environment or Clinical Education (or working towards).
