We’re on the lookout for a Part
- Time **Youth Peer Worker** to join our awesome team at **headspace Queanbeyan,** located on **Ngunawal** and **Ngambri **country. This is a fixed term position and you’ll be working directly with young people (aged 12-25), helping them navigate the sometimes-tricky world of mental health services. You’ll bring your own lived experience to support them on their recovery path while working with other superstars to create positive change.
**What We’re Looking For**:
- **Lived Experience**: You’ve walked the mental health journey yourself and want to share your story to help others.
- **Empathy**: You’re passionate about working with young people and their families to make a positive impact.
- **Understanding & Knowledge**: You know what it takes to navigate mental health services—or you’re excited to learn how you can support others in doing so.
- **Cultural Connection**: You’re a First Nations person who understands the importance of culture, community, and connection in mental health and recovery.
- **Skills/Qualifications**: If you have a Cert IV in Mental Health Peer Work (or similar), awesome But we’re also open to anyone with the passion and lived experience to step into this role.
