**The Role**
JPEU is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Data Acquisition Operator to perform key test activities that support test and evaluation objectives. In this role, you will engage in data collection, technical report writing, equipment maintenance and stakeholder liaison. Your daily tasks will involve setting up, operating, and monitoring electronic data collection systems in varied environments, both indoor and outdoor. You will provide technical data knowledge to ensure integrity of data collected, ensuring activities comply with relevant standards.

This position requires effective stakeholder engagement, report on, and develop procedures for effective data collection. Working under routine direction, you will manage moderately complex technical data tasks, maintaining responsibility for the precision and timeliness of your work. Your role involves collaboration and communication within the team to optimize performance and address technical challenges with creativity and efficiency.

**About our Team**
JPEU is an integral part of Explosive Ordnance Branch, Joint Logistics Command and is tasked to provide dynamic, static and environmental test and evaluation services to the Australian Defence Organisation. JPEU consists of a Headquarters which is spread across VIC, SA and ACT, as well as two ranges at Proof and Experimental Establishment (P&EE) Graytown VIC, and P&EE Port Wakefield SA. The Data Acquisition Officer will be an integral part of a small team involved in moderately complicated to complex testing of land, sea and air material. P&EE Graytown has a range of facilities for all employees, including:

- Country Club for social events and functions (membership also available);
- Various eating establishments in Heathcote and Nagambie; and
- Transport assistance Monday to Friday, pick up from Puckapunyal to Graytown.

Employment at Graytown also currently attracts a Special Defence Locality Assistance allowance of approximately ($184.44 per fortnight).

The successful applicant will be able to:

- Use technical data collection equipment to collect data;
- Prepare technical reports and documentation;
- Perform ongoing operator maintenance of technical data collection equipment;
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to operate successfully within an integrated APS, ADF and customer environment; and
- Have proficiency in the use MS Office suite.
