**About the role**
As a Support Worker within our shared living team, you will play an essential role in supporting and empowering people with disability to live a life of their choosing. Working in both a team environment and independently, you will provide a range of services assisting clients to live independently, be actively involved in their local community, and engaged in meaningful opportunities.
This is a permanent part time position located in Sutherland. Shifts will include early mornings (6am start), days, afternoons, weekends, and a wake over shift. Flexibility to work across these shifts is a must.

**Key focus**:

- Supporting our clients to live as independently as possible by assisting with activities of daily living, this can include menu planning, cooking and cleaning.
- Supports may include personal care needs and assistance with medication.
- Supporting clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community through the delivery of a range of person-centred programs.
- Work to behaviour support plans by utilising positive behaviour strategies.
- Communication with families about clients' progress

**About You**

You will demonstrate the ability to engage, communicate and build partnerships with people.
- Experience in the Disability sector is essential.
- Ability to support others with personal and hygiene care and happy for this to be part of your job.

- High levels of enthusiasm, initiative and a positive attitude while acting with integrity, honesty and respect
