We’re looking for an experienced and passionate General Manager to join our Lantern Club team. Working with us, you will be part of a progressive team with solid values and a community focus.

This is a diverse role where you will contribute to the long-term growth of the business through business strategy, planning and financial management. You will have a high degree of business acumen with exceptional communication skills and must be passionate about the hospitality industry with a customer focus. Previous experience working in Clubs, a thorough understanding of our governing legislation and experience managing and growing loyalty in the Clubs industry will set you up well to succeed in this role.

This role manages all areas of the club including membership, gaming, beverage, promotions, marketing and community, as well as back of house operations, including stores, cellar, property and maintenance.

- Coach and develop our team in a way that helps them grow and improve to become the best possible version of themselves.
- Ensure strategic planning, leadership and the coordination of people and resources align.
- Actively engage and build relationships with the local community and sub and affiliative clubs.
- Build loyalty between members and visitors through quality product offering, promotions and communications.
- Develop the Club’s business plan and marketing plan in conjunction with relevant Group Managers and the Chief Operating Officer.
- Be proactive in identifying ways to increase both membership and foot traffic into the venue.
- Analyse business performance and trends looking for opportunities to innovate to ensure long term sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation regulations and standards, including but not limited to liquor and gaming, WHS and employment.

**What Success Looks Like**
- Demonstrated experience with 5+ years in building, growing and developing high performing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to learn, grow and undertake professional development.
- A high degree of business acumen in budgeting, profit and loss management, negotiation, networking, business planning, project leadership, general governance and risk reporting.
- Exceptional experience in communicating with both customer and team members with the ability to have ‘difficult’ or constructive conversations.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver agreed outcomes, targets, KPIs, both personally and for your team.
- Knowledge of club operations and governing legislation.
- A high standard of personal presentation, coupled with exceptional communication skills, including report writing, presentations and other formal documentation.
- A high degree of integrity, discretion and confidentiality.
- Flexibility and availability across the operating hours of the club.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) certificates.
