- Shape and develop your career in business development and strategy for growth

**How will I help?**

You'll be playing a critical role in achieving Westpac Group's purpose to create better futures together through your business development and relationship management within Consumer and Business Banking. A proactive approach to your own and subscribed business networking activities to identify new partner opportunities will be important. You will be tasked with building strong relationships as a trusted partner whilst strengthening your connection with our internal stakeholders.

As well as leading the identification, assessment, and execution of acquisition/partnership opportunities for the business, this role will play an active part in shaping the business strategy via collaborating with internal stakeholders and having direct engagement with external corporate partners. This role is expected to be proactive and hands on working with teams across the business including to coach bankers and facilitate ongoing corporate partnership engagement.

As well as job flexibility and the financial benefits for being part of the Westpac Group, you'll have training opportunities so your career can grow as you do. You'll also be encouraged to take part in community projects as a paid volunteer to help more Australians.

At the end of the day, it's that passion for people that'll really help you succeed and a drive to help our business

**What do I need?**
Ability to attract new business opportunities and relationship management are a must-have. A strong customer centric banking background and particularly in Mortgage Lending is highly regarded - as you'll be using those to grow our 1st Party Mortgage and empower the broader team to grow and drive partnership value. You'll know how to tap into new business opportunities in your networks with competencies to develop strategies and calling plans to deliver sustainable outcomes. Presenting and communicating directly to a decision maker at the senior executive levels (CEO, CFO, Head of HR/Benefits) of an organisation will not be foreign to you as you strive for results through excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills. Having the versatility to present to large groups onsite or through virtual methods, you can engage and influence the target audience with ease.

As well as competitive remuneration and a great culture, joining the Westpac family gives you access to a wide range of employee benefits to help you manage your priorities - whether that means family life, work/life balance, ambition to grow or all the little perks in between.

We'll empower you to shape your career path. Through personalised upskilling, mentoring, and training opportunities, you're in control of where you start and how you'll grow.
