**About The Role**:
Bendigo Kangan Institute is one of Victoria's largest TAFE providers. As a **Teacher - Painting and Decorating, **you'll play a crucial role in the rehabilitation and education of individuals within the correctional system. Your dedication to delivering high-quality vocational education and training, along with conducting competency-based assessments, will contribute significantly to the holistic development of the students.
Working within the Corrections teams, you'll be part of a collaborative environment focused on achieving positive outcomes for students. By imparting essential skills, you'll not only enrich their educational experience but also contribute to the holistic development of the students.
Your role goes beyond traditional teaching and will have significant impact on these individuals. It's about empowering them with skills they need to succeed both during their time within the correctional facility but also as they integrate into society. **Qualifications**:
- TAE40110 or TAE40116 (including TAEASS501 and TAELLN411) or higher VET teaching qualification
- Certificate in Painting and Decorating
Vocational qualifications and competencies
**Experience and Knowledge**:
- Industry experience
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Understanding and respect for the diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds of the students
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to communicate effectively across large groups
- A confident and flexible approach
- Flexibility to adjust teaching methods based on the needs of individual learners and the dynamics of the classroom
Proficient in IT systems and MS Office suite
