As an Associate Data Scientist within the EDB Pricing Chapter, you will be responsible for the development and management of pricing models supporting the business stakeholders within CBA Every banking and Auckland Saving Bank. This includes areas such as pricing decisioning, where our models help set up the optimal prices for customers, and more generally any area where modelling and AI can add value to business and customer outcomes.

The Decision Science Pricing team within Retail Banking Services supports the CBA Everyday Banking business and ASB pricing models for deposit and home loan products. The team is responsible for the development and maintenance of multiple predictive models, creating insights to enable business decision making at a strategic and tactical level.

You will be responsible for the development and management of key modelling assets within the team, with an objective to utilise state of the state art data science and statistical techniques to improve business and customer outcomes.

**We are seeking people who are**:

- Engage stakeholders from ASB to understand business problems and come with tactical suggestion/solution.
- Extract, transform and synthesise data from the Group Data Warehouse, Omnia and other sources, using SQL, R and/or Python, for use in analytical processes.
- Enhance, maintain and implement modelling pipelines that can work with large-scale data in production. systems to meet the needs of the business.
- Proactively contributing to and encouraging the sharing of knowledge with team members and stakeholders.
- Have good business acumen and collaborative in nature to work with product teams, curious enough to solve data problems and courageous in positively influencing business stakeholders
- Constantly thinking outside the box and breaking boundaries to solve complex data science problems

**We want to hear from you if you have**:

- Sound statistical / analytical / data science knowledge with the ability to work in both theoretical and practical analysis spaces
- Proficiency in extracting raw data from data warehouses using (Teradata) SQL etc.
- Experience at using programming languages such as Python or R to build predictive models.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to details and data accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A relevant tertiary qualification e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Econometrics, Computer Science or Engineering.
