**How will I help?**

You are responsible for supporting data science projects and bespoke analytical solutions that help Westpac to optimise marketing performance, improve customer engagement, and maximise commercial value.

**Key Responsibilities Include**:

- With support and supervision from senior team members/leaders, maintain data science process/operation, including data, models and reporting pipelines with direct engagement with stake holders on regular basis
- Conduct analysis of various datasets to extract insights that can support informed decision-making
- Work with the wider team of data scientists and data engineers to support stake holders with analytical solutions to help them meet their goals and objectives
- Effectively manage risk by adhering to team risk controls and organisational risk mitigation policies

**What do I need?**
- Strong foundation in SQL is mandatory (Teradata experience is a plus, hands on experience with Westpac data is strong plus)
- Data visualisationand dashboarding is highly desired, particularly PowerBI
- Experience in developing apps with PowerApps, familiarity with integrating PowerApps into Power BI dashboards is highly desired
- Capability in general programming is mandatory (Python is highly preferred)
- Good communication skills (writing and verbal)
- Exposure to project management and associated tooling (Confluence and JIRA etc), experience with Gitis strong plus
- Good foundation in Advanced Analytics, including but not limited to machine learning methods (supervised and unsupervised learning), regression modelling, time series analytics etc.
- Big data platform exposure (Hadoop/ Hive/ Sparketc) and Cloud platform experience is highly regarded (Azure experience is a strong plus)
- Customer Marketing & Analytics experience/exposure is highly desirable
- Stakeholder engagementexperience is strong plus
