Position Vacant -Waste Operator x 2 - Position 5070

This is a permanent full time position based on 38 hours per week, plus regular overtime under the current Local Government (State) Award 2020. The salary range is Grade 7 Step 0 $1069.26 per week to Grade 7 Step 4 $1240.35 per week. Level 2 Adverse Working Conditions Allowance apply.

To be successful you will need:
Essential
- Minimum 3 years experience in a waste operations or labouring role
- Demonstrated ability to undertake sustainable waste management practices.
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively without supervision and as a member of a team.
- Understanding of Safework NSW HAZCAM and CHEMCERT requirements and demonstrate ability to identify hazardous materials such as sharps, asbestos and chemicals/toxic waste and dispose of appropriately. Hold relevant licences/tickets or willingness to undertake training to obtain.
- Demonstrate understanding of WHS and Risk responsibilities.
- Class C and HR drivers licence and experience operating earthmoving equipment.
- IT skills with ability to use MS suite of documents.

Desirable:

- Formal qualifications in Waste Management or a similar discipline.
- Community Recycling Centre training program or willingness to undertaken training.
- Hold relevant Safework NSW HAZCAM and CHEMCERT licences/tickets or willingness to undertake training to obtain.
- Ability to undertake weighbridge operations using electronic data entry and reporting and willingness to undertake training.
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Understanding of EPA licences for Solid Waste Landfill.
