**About the Role**

John Holland have recently been awarded an Iconic large water infrastructure project based in South-West Melbourne. We’re currently in the design and planning phase and are looking to engage with an experienced Project Planner to play a key role in the delivery of this key water infrastructure project. Reporting into the Project Controls & Risk Manager, you will undertake the process of planning, creating detailed programs, and monitoring performance to deliver the best quality project on time and on budget in accordance with John Holland procedures.

**Responsibilities of the role include**:

- Implement planning strategies and reviews for the project.
- Ensure project planning activities are conducted in accordance with John Holland policies and procedures.
- Ensure monitoring and reporting of Project Controls processes are successfully set-up and implemented on the project.
- Interface with project team, partners, clients, stakeholders, consultants, designers, vendors, subcontractors for management of the planning function in accordance with established procedures
- Financial management: Undertake the implementation of project monitoring systems, particularly focussing on time, cost, resources & quality (project controls & earned value)
- Ensure that planning and controls reports generated across project(s) provide maximum cost and time forecasting certainty for project(s).
- Proactively lead a planning and controls culture across the project based on best practice and with a focus on risk management, cost control and SQE.
- People interaction: collaboration, consultation and cooperation with project staff in order to coordinate information flow for the performance of the planning and controls functions, including for the performance of subcontractors

**To be successful in this key role we are looking for**:

- Tertiary degree, preferably in one of the following disciplines - Engineering, Construction, Building, Sciences, Architecture or Project Management, or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a Planner position on a construction project
- Use of planning software & tools such as Primavera Project Planning, Earned Value and Cash Flow Analysis
