Marketing Assistant

**About the Role**:
ODE Dermatology and Dr. Shammi Theesan are seeking a dynamic Marketing Assistant (junior to mid-level) to elevate brand awareness and market share across two innovative brands.

Founded by renowned Australian dermatologist Dr. Shammi Theesan, ODE Dermatology merges cutting-edge technology with medical expertise to address hair loss, acne, skincare, and aesthetics.

In 2025, Dr. Shammi will debut her namesake product range—a mid-priced line of advanced hair growth products positioned in the luxury market. This launch calls for a sophisticated, strategic approach and a deep understanding of the luxury skincare space.

As a Marketing Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the clinic, product line, and Dr. Shammi’s media presence. Your efforts will focus on increasing visibility, driving competition, and capturing market share. You’ll work closely with an experienced Marketing Manager who will mentor and guide you toward delivering commercial success for both brands.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Create high-quality content for social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Oversee all aspects of social media operations, including scheduling, posting, and engaging with the community.
- Research key competitors and benchmark our brand against theirs.
- Develop and manage an annual social content calendar.
- Oversee the creation and management of user-generated content (UGC).
- Assist the Marketing Manager with tasks related to events, photoshoots, and brand partnerships.
- Enhance brand awareness through effective social media strategies and execution.
- Assist in the daily management of two websites, overseeing content updates and ensuring alignment with brand objectives and e-commerce operations.
- Handle administrative tasks, including communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Procure necessary materials and resources for day-to-day marketing and branding operations.
- Any tasks relevant and necessary to the success of the business.

**Hard Skills**:

- Proficient in camera use (beyond basic iPhone capabilities)
- Experienced with video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere
- Experience in the use of professional lighting for content purposes
- Skilled in image editing tools, such as Photoshop
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, confidently expressing ideas with precision and clarity and strong understanding of the skincare, social trends, and beauty landscape

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary education in Marketing or Business
- Proven 2-3 years of experience in skincare and beauty marketing

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
