We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed **Advanced Trainee** to join the **Paediatric Endocrinology** team at **John Hunter Children’s Hospital**. This role is a **0.53 FTE position** for **6 months**, commencing **4th August 2025**, with the opportunity for **full-time hours during the initial 8 weeks**.

**About the Role**:
This position offers a rich and varied clinical experience in a tertiary paediatric setting. The successful applicant will:

- Manage **inpatient consultations** and attend **specialist outpatient clinics**:

- Participate as **first on-call** in the endocrinology roster
- Provide high-quality, family-centred clinical care aligned with best practice standards
- Contribute to **teaching**, **supervision of junior staff**, and **ongoing service development**:

- Engage in **multidisciplinary teamwork** and demonstrate a commitment to **continuous professional development**

**About You**:
You will bring:
Demonstrated experience in **Paediatric Endocrinology**
Strong clinical and communication skills with a focus on safe, effective, and compassionate care
Ability to participate in after-hours and on-call responsibilities
A collaborative approach to working within a multidisciplinary team

This is an excellent opportunity for a trainee looking to consolidate their skills and contribute meaningfully within a highly respected and supportive team.
- Registered with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians as an Advanced Trainee or equivalent. Those registered with the RACP, must have remaining training requirements. Please outline training requirements that will be outstanding as of February 2019.
- Ongoing commitment to further education and professional development. This includes demonstrated ability to teach and willingness to participate in the teaching of Medical Students, Junior Medical Staff and other clinical staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and a commitment to actively contribute to clinical team.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills and ability to organise, plan and manage competing tasks
- Ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment.
- Demonstrated contribution to quality improvement, hospital services / committees and research.
- Advanced Paediatric Life Support qualifications or equivalent.
