PPB Technology is a globally-focused biotechnology company, home of the award-winning CYBERTONGUE® Technology, a breakthrough system that delivers "Laboratory Quality Results in Minutes" for the food industry.

Our mission is to simplify and revolutionise quality control processes for food and beverage products, using rapid, on-the-spot testing solutions powered by our our patented technology. Our multi-award-winning CYBERTONGUE® System enables food processors to run essential safety and quality tests without the delays of external lab testing.

We’ve already launched tests to protect UHT milk from spoilage and ensure fresh milk has passed effective pasteurisation. As we scale up production with our Australian manufacturing partners, we’re expanding our in-house quality control team to uphold the highest standards.

**The Role: Technical Officer - Quality Systems**

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Officer - Quality Systems to support the production and quality assurance of our cutting-edge diagnostic products. This is a hands-on, lab-based role where you’ll be a vital contributor to our growing operations, ensuring every product meets our world-class standards.

**In this role, under supervision, you will**:

- Produce, purify, and calibrate recombinant biosensor proteins and protease standards
- Conduct initial setup and standardisation of CYBERTONGUE® instruments
- Calibrate and validate commercially manufactured tests
- Support the online management of our growing fleet of CYBERTONGUE® instruments
- Contribute to our quality management systems and documentation
- Assist in the development of new tests, as capacity allows

**What We’re Looking For**

**Qualifications and experience**:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field
- At least 12 months of recent laboratory experience in microbiology, biochemistry, or chemistry
- Experience with aseptic laboratory techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and/or support quality systems (ISO9001 or GMP knowledge is a plus)
- Experience in writing technical documentation such as standard operating procedures, protocols, reports, or user instructions
- Confidence using Windows-based systems, including installing software and basic troubleshooting
- Proficiency with MS Excel or similar tools for data analysis (GraphPad Prism or similar is a bonus)
- Strong communication skills, with the ability and desire to troubleshoot, support, and educate others—both internal and external customers—in a technical context. While previous experience in a customer-facing or support role is valued, a proactive attitude and willingness to learn are most important.

Pay: $73,567.00 - $93,630.00 per year
