Melbourne, Australia OPT ENERGY Full time

**Working hours **- Standard working hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. However, the Warehouse Assistant is **required** to report to work on **Sundays** as well. To compensate for this, you are entitled to take an additional day off during the week.

**Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000 + super.**

**Job Summary**:

Our innovative program, the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU), allows us to assist homeowners in making their homes more energy-efficient and eco-friendly. We are seeking an experienced and organized Warehouse Assistant to join our team and oversee the efficient operations of our warehouse based in Port Melbourne.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage day-to-day activities within the warehouse, including dispatching, receiving, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized warehouse space.
- Oversee the picking, packing, and dispatching of products with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Draft, implement and maintain effective inventory management procedures and other technology tools to track inventory, monitor shipments, and optimize processes.
- Conduct regular stock checks, cycle counts, and coordinate with relevant teams to address discrepancies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance warehouse efficiency.
- Address and resolve any stock issues promptly and in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any supply chain issues.

**Education and Qualifications**:

- Degree or certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in Warehouse/Distribution operation.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems and technology.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Proficient in the use of MS and Google Office suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
