**Theatre Orderly**

**About the role**

**As an orderly, you will be working in the theatre department.**

Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Working with and assisting clinical staff;
- Transporting patients between wards;
- Cleaning and waste removal;
- Assisting staff to ensure theatres are set up for surgical procedures and equipment is available

**About You**
- While experience is not necessary in this role, an interest in patient care is essential to succeed in this role.
- You will have excellent communication skills and a willingness to develop a working knowledge of hospital procedures.
- You will be a motivated, positive individual and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail. Willingness to learn and to be trained as a hospital orderly.
- Ability to work effective within a team environment and independently
- Be available for a range of shifts across a 7 day rotating roster

Glengarry Private Hospital, located 15 km north of Perth’s CBD, has been a leading provider of specialist healthcare to the communities in Perth’s northern suburbs since 1977. We are a 110 beds hospital with a 17-bed day surgery unit and 4 operating theatres. We offer a range of services including maternity, endoscopy, palliative care, surgical, rehabilitation and medical services. These are supported by ancillary services such as physiotherapy, social work, occupational therapy, speech therapy and dietetics.

Our Theatre specialties include orthopaedics, general, gynaecology, obstetrics, ENT, Paediatrics, plastics, pain and dental.

**Requirements**:
Everyone who joins Ramsay:

- Must be **vaccinated against Covid-19, **a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation
- _Must provide a _**National Police** check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a **Working-With-Children** check and **proof of immunisation** against infectious diseases
