We are seeking an experienced People Partner who will proactively collaborate with the Leadership Team at the City to provide both strategic and operational advice and support across all Human Resources (HR) related matters to help drive a sustainable and high-performance culture.

This position also builds and maintains productive working relationships within the People and Culture Team and other internal and external stakeholders to foster a thriving culture with an emphasis on the development of a talented workforce.

The People Partner supports the City by:

- Operating as a strategic partner to deliver technical and strategic advice throughout the employee lifecycle to the City’s leadership team aligning with people and business objectives.
- Providing guidance and coaching to leaders, with a view towards strengthening their skills in all aspects of people management.
- Coaching leaders and managers with respect to initiatives to enhance employee engagement and build their capability to lead and manage change.
- Working collaboratively with the People Partnering Team on onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth integration into the City’s culture.
- Promoting the continuous development of a workforce that actively nurtures the City’s culture to assist in retaining employees.

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience working at an Advisor/Business Partner level providing generalist HR advice within an organisation, along with the ability to coach and influence managers on best HR practices.
