**Horse Trainer**

Jason Attard Racing Pty Ltd trading as AKA Racing are currently seeking highly experienced and capable staff to join their stable. Positions are **full-time** and available at Clarendon -Hawkesbury NSW.

The successful applicant/s must be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of industry best practice, with either international experience or a thorough understanding of the global trends of the thoroughbred industry.

**Young Horse Trainer/Rider**:
1. Able to ride horses per morning (with particular emphasis on riding pace/timed work and jump outs)

2. Proven ability to train and educate young horses

3. Able to ride 8 -10 horses per morning (with particular emphasis on riding pace/timed work and jump outs).

**Essential Skills**:

- Applicants must have a minimum of at least 3-year full time professional experience in the role
- Knowledge and experience of horse training and handling methods specific to thoroughbred racing
- Proven ability to train and educate young horses
- Oral and written communication skills of a level to take instruction and provide information
- Knowledge of safe operation of all equipment and use of personal protective equipment
- Sound knowledge of health and safety obligations and demonstrated skills in safe operation of equipment relevant to the training and preparation of racehorses

**Desirable Qualification**:

- A Certificate III or equivalent international qualification

**Terms of Employment**

The salary will be above award - in the range of **$65,000 to $75,000** per annum depending upon the level of skill.

**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
