**Description**:

- We’re looking for an organised, driven Racing Manager to join our team in NSW This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with top trainers, build strong relationships with jockeys and agents, and help shape winning campaigns across NSW and QLD.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work with head & assistant trainers to create appropriate race plans for upcoming campaigns. Use horseform to build a profile of each horse’s strengths to better inform preparation plans
- Analyse race programs to identify and ensure stable competes at a competitive level across races within New South Wales & Queensland
- Establish & maintain strong relationships with all jockeys & their agents
- Strategically book jockeys for all upcoming race rides & trials given horse & trainer preferences
- Lodge daily scratching's, nominations, and acceptances for relevant racing jurisdictions within key deadlines
- Proactively identify feature races for key horses
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the racing calendar & nomination deadlines across New South Wales & Queensland racing
- Prepare pre-race analysis &strategy for all engaged NSW/QLD runners to communicate with relevant training staff
- Ensure all necessary horse documentation is kept up to date according to industry standards (eg. Registrations, passports, stable returns, identification cards)
- Participate in daily post-race team meetings, providing post-race analysis using sectionals, ratings, and other form factors to the wider training team to make informed decisions on future racing plans
- Provide owners with informative audio updates regarding upcoming race plans, nominations or results.

‍‍**Desired Attributes**:

- Experience working in the thoroughbred racing industry
- Willingness to learn and confidently use Prism horse software, along with in-house technology and data dashboards, to support operational efficiency and decision-making.
- Understanding of the handicapping system, rules of racing and racing programming
- Desired network of relationships in the thoroughbred racing industry
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional organisational skills
- Great communication skills along with the ability to work in a team environment
