**About the Role**
We are looking to hire support workers for a female clients NOR, from Balga-Butler. The role of the Support Worker is to work with clients within the NDIS funding framework, assisting them to achieve their goals and increase their independence and participation within the community. You will provide support to people with disability and/or psychosocial needs, enabling them to undertake all aspects of daily living. You will also promote and demonstrate positive behaviours, learning experiences and skill development for clients.
**Preferred Experience**
The key needs of the clients we are currently hiring for are those living with psychosocial needs, these clients will work best with support staff who are able to keep them engaged with various community services or in the home, providing them with adequate assistance in keeping their lives full and interactive in waking hours. The woman would like to be involved in all aspects of their care and day to day life, including participating in meal planning and cooking, daily activities and hobbies as they enjoy being occupied at all times. This preference would require support workers who are used to dealing with challenging behaviours and are adept at assisting the clients with their full attention at all times.
**Key duties include**:
- Taking clients out for social outings and activities, shopping trips or GP/specialist appointments.
- Providing Personal Care
- Domestic duties and meal preparation/eating assistance.
- Challenging behaviour management
**Skills & Experience**
As well as the above skills, the **Key Requirements** include:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Introductory Module Completion
- National Police Clearance (within the last 12 months).
- Manual Handling Certificate
- First-Aid/CPR Training Certificate
- Proof of working rights - Passport, Visa, Citizenship
- Covid-19 Full Vaccination Certificate
- Valid West Australian driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- Working with Children Check issued in Western Australia.
- Experienced with challenging behavior
