Experienced Geotechnical Cmt Field Technician

**P**osition** Description**:
To assist the Geotechnical and CMT teams with investigations, reporting, lab duties and provide team support with relation to client and project requirements, relevant standards and legislation.

**Role Requirements**:

- Perform nuclear field density testing at locations determined by the client as suitable, or with your professional judgment. If unsure, contact a Geotechnical Engineer for advice
- Supervise/Perform (where requested) Level 1 to 3 Earthworks Compaction Control Testing
- Fill out all fields on the field data sheets with clear and legible writing
- Draw up and note all test locations after each test is completed
- Fill out Chain of Custody document and submit samples to our in-house laboratory or contact a Geotechnical Engineer if there are any testing requested outside of our scope of testing
- Fill out Project Log document with relevant information and submit timesheet, field notes and SWMS for scanning
- Provide information and communication to clients under the direction and approval of a Geotechnical Engineer/Project Manager

**Qualifications**:

- Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or higher
- Current Radiation User Licence
- Open Driving Licence
- Insitu Density testing experience to TMR and AS standards (Nuclear density and sand replacement methods)
- Level 1 earthworks supervision experience is advantageous
- Current Construction Induction White Card

**Person**:

- Self-motivated and proactive
- Ability to liaise effectively with clients and contractors
- Physically fit and prepared to undertake labour intensive tasks
