They are on the hunt for an apprentice Cabinet Maker to join their team at Cubispec. Cubispec Washroom Solutions provides toilet and shower cubicles, assisting customers from the design phase through to completion.

It is one of 3 companies in the family owned and operated business, the other two being Interia and Direct Office Furniture. Interia is a leading Office Furniture and Joinery solution provider which aims to provide their customers with premium quality furniture with superior choice and lead times. Direct Office Furniture is a factory direct online store bringing the biggest range and best value to the Australian Office Furniture market.

They all work as a team to meet our customer’s needs; this means they have the ability to provide opportunities for training and experience across various areas of the 3 businesses. Tasks include but aren’t limited to; placement of products, assembling components on site, final cleaning, and inspection prior to handover, reporting defects to site manager, maintenance of site tools and equipment, use of hand tools and opportunities to use CNC router, panel saw, drop saw, edge bander, etc.

This role is suitable for someone with a strong work ethic and desire to learn and be challenged. We are looking for someone reliable and organised, with good communication skills, a sense of urgency, focus on safety and ability to adapt to change.

**Roles/Responsibilities**
- Develop and constantly improve systems related to your position and department to ensure continuous improvement.
- Ensure that all time is accounted for via the Company’s Time Tracking system.
- Assembling components on site.
- Placement of products.
- Final cleaning & inspection (scratches, dirt & imperfections) prior to handover.
- Reporting of defects to Site Manager.
- Maintenance of site tools & equipment.
- Adhere to company’s Personal Safety (PPE) requirements.
- Read & interpret plan drawings.
- Use of hand tools (drills, routers, grinders, etc).
- Daily clean-up of working areas.
- Understand the company’s OH & S policy.
- Processing of timber components, ie. cutting, edging, gluing, routing, sanding, polishing and assembly.
- Cutting using CNC router, Panel saw and Drop saw, if required.
- Use of Edge banding machines for shaped tops, and square tops, if required.
- Set up and operation of hand tools (routers, drills, sanders etc).
- General cleanliness of factory.
- Emptying of waste and off cuts.
- Day to day maintenance and cleaning machinery.
- Checking, storing & unpacking goods inwards.
- Loading and unloading trucks, containers, etc.

**Skills/Experience**

No skills or experience required, we will provide on the job training and inductions.
- Ability to obtain White Card and Working With Children’s Check.
- Willing to undergo regular drug & alcohol screening and CV checks, where required.
- Valid Driver’s licence.
- Ability to obtain Forklift license, if required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong, positive work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

**Roles Specifics**

This is a Full-time position, 38 hours a week. Our operating days are Monday to Friday, however there is occasional opportunities for weekend work.

The position will be based at our Kewdale warehouse, free parking is available on site. This role will involve regular travel in the work trucks to customer sites.
