**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
**Summary of the role**:
As part of the exciting new Psychology Registrar Program at Mercy Mental Health, you will benefit from the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in recovery-oriented psychological practice in a public mental health setting. The Registrar Program offers diverse and comprehensive skill-building rotations across our adult inpatient, community and rehabilitative services, and our specialist perinatal inpatient / outpatient services, as well as learning through exposure to emergency mental health and crisis teams, leading to a thorough understanding of the full client journey through mental health services. The Program will help you build competence and confidence as a Psychologist within an enthusiastic and nurturing multidisciplinary team environment. You will be employed full time and will be well supported professionally with regular supervision, opportunities for paid leave for Professional Development, protected study time, and peer consultation and support from other registrars and psychologists working at MMH.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Knowledge of the discipline and understanding of case formulation in planning evidence based treatment
- Participation in individual and group supervision, and active commitment to professional development as per the requirements of Psychology Board
- Active participation in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribution to formulation, diagnosis and treatment planning
- Provision of specialist psychological assessments, interventions and therapy groups, with a focus on recovery, person-centred care, and effective outcomes for adult consumers and their families

**ABOUT YOU**:

- A minimum of Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology
- Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist with an intention to complete a Registrar Program for Area of Practice endorsement
- Commitment to working within a recovery-oriented framework
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Mercy Mental Health (South West Area Mental Health Service) is a public mental health service supporting people in south west metropolitan Melbourne with severe and complex mental illnesses by providing acute and community-based care. Services are available to adults through acute inpatient programs, residential rehabilitation programs and crisis and community recovery-focused treatment programs. We also deliver inpatient and community specialist perinatal mental health services to women and infants in western Victoria.
