**Job Overview**:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and organized Warehouse Assistant to join our team at the tool shop. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse facility by managing inventory, processing shipments, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Inventory Management**:

- Receive, inspect, and record incoming merchandise shipments.
- Organize and maintain inventory storage areas, ensuring efficient space utilization.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in reconciling discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to the warehouse manager.

**2. Order Fulfillment**:

- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment to customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to locate and retrieve items from storage locations.
- Package items securely to prevent damage during transit and ensure compliance with shipping regulations.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation as required.

**3. Shipping and Receiving**:

- Coordinate outbound shipments with carriers and freight forwarders.
- Arrange for the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.
- Process returns and exchanges according to established procedures.

**4. Warehouse Maintenance**:

- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of storage racks and shelving units.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the warehouse manager promptly.

**5. Team Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with other warehouse staff and retail associates to fulfill customer orders and meet delivery deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and prioritize tasks.
- Assist in training new warehouse personnel as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous warehouse experience preferred, particularly in a retail or distribution environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management procedures.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in using inventory management software and handheld scanners.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 20kgs) and operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if required).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.

**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
