**What this opportunity involves**:
The Facilities Officer is responsible for general repairs and maintenance of a nominated building. Reporting to Central Facilities Management Team and/or National Facilities Manager based in Canberra, you will undertake:
Building and maintaining strong relationships with the client, contractors, trades persons and suppliers
Remove and/or install whiteboards, plaques, signage and screens
Patching and painting as required
Conduct routine site inspections and work order review to identify opportunities for proactive works
Delivery of non-trade maintenance tasks that don’t require a 2 person lift, working at heights or any other task that may pose a WHS risk to a single person operator including and furniture repairs/ alterations
Escort JLL contractors for emergency/critical works during business hours as required, including Departments Executive Are
Regular (Daily / Weekly) building walk throughs to identify any cleaning, waste or maintenance issues and identify opportunities for proactive works
Raising and closing out maintenance tasks through Corrigo
Provide support to the Property Services team through direct communications with the PSC and FM team on status of work orders

Experience using hand or power equipment (essential)
Experience in responding to and satisfying customer requests
Ability to effectively manage time in order to meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal, decision-making and people skills
Personable with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrable ability to work well within a team environment and take on the responsibility of ensuring all work tasks are completed
Personality - helpful, knowledgeable and approachable
Computer skills; particularly Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
