**YHA** is seeking a **Maintenance Supervisor **to join our team in the heart of Sydney on a full-time basis. This varied role requires you to maintain both Sydney properties in Central and Harbour. Perfect role for someone who wants to step up and have experience leading a small team. You will be responsible in the building, equipment, fixtures and fittings throughout YHA Sydney Central & Harbour properties to the highest possible standard. You will ensure a pleasant and safe environment for all guests, visitors and employees. This is a hands-on role as well as showcasing your great supervision skills to support a small team.

**Duties include, but are not limited to**:

- Communicate with team members and subcontractors to ensure that they are kept informed of any issues relating to contract performance and compliance.
- Ensure that work site instructions are followed including Risk Assessments, Job Analysis, Hazard Identification, and In Process Inspections.
- Identification, supervision, and day-to-day control of team members onsite, including performance monitoring and recommendations on work allocation.
- Coordinate and issue work requests to trades
- Client liaison, customer care regarding maintenance

**What we are looking for**:

- Trade Qualification is essential
- Background in accommodation maintenance (preferred but not essential)
- Intermediate computer skills
- Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence
- Must have Full Australian Working Rights

**Salary**: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
