**Position: General Maintenance/Groundskeeping**:
At Kip, we provide pets with the best care and enrichment - and have our people to thank for it. One of the many ways we provide a high standard of care, is through ensuring our pet guests are safe. This starts with the role of General Maintenance for our facility and grounds.

**What are the responsibilities of the role?**
- Contribute to maintaining a high level of presentation of our site and grounds at all times including garden beds, lawn and play yards
- General handyman repairs - these will include, but are not limited to patching and painting, replacement of light globes, minor carpentry repairs, door hardware repairs, wall and floor tiling repairs, minor plumbing repairs, minor roof and gutter repairs, general labouring, removal and disposal of rubbish.
- General grounds duties, including mowing, pruning, weeding, fertilising, and sprinkler systems etc.
- Conduct regular inspections of boarding premises and if any repairs are to be undertaken, ensure work is carried out to amend issues in an effective and timely manner.
- Good working knowledge of operating machinery i.e. mowers, hedgers, blowers, whipper snippers, leaf blowers hand held tools etc
- Operate and maintain equipment in accordance with the Operator's Manual and seasonal maintenance schedules.
- Maintain all pathways and grates to ensure that they are clean and free from rubbish, weeds and other debris.

**Requirements for the role**:

- Relevant qualifications or training in building maintenance or relevant general building experience.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and to work productively as part of a team.
- Skills to ensure the infrastructure is maintained in good condition and meets WHS and compliance requirements.
- The capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team and at times autonomously.
- Good/comfortable to work in and around animals.
