**About the Employer**:
Due to continued strong business growth an enthusiastic Customer Service Officer is sought after to join a successful Australian food distributor leading the way in the food service industry.

**About the Role**:
Reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Manager, your high level customer service skills will be regarded highly as you assist customers with their orders to ensure all orders are placed correctly and available for delivery as required.

**Duties**:

- Contact customers daily who have out of stock items
- Process over the counter sales
- Process return authorisations or credits if product is to be returned for various reasons by Customer
- Day to day filing of orders, picking slips, scanning documents
- Collate and attach marketing specials to customer invoices
- Contact Customers with details on new products, samples and clearance lines organised by purchasing, marketing or sales team
- Assist customers with enquiries and complaints
- Call and advise customer on delivery times or issues if operations are behind

**Skills and Experience**:

- Previous phone based customer service or call centre experience
- Experience in a fast paced environment
- Knowledge of the food service industry will be looked upon favourably but is not essential
- Strong computer literacy
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
