**Your new role**
In your new position you will have the opportunity to develop your career and expand on your skill set within the payroll team, to perform a broad range of tasks inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

- Administering fortnightly pay and related processing
- Calculation of leave and entitlements LSL, Annual leave, sick leave
- Calculating salary and pay matters/ procedures and manage employment contracts
- Process superannuation and taxation transactions
- Commerce employees, transfer staff and process terminations
- Respond courteously affectively to requests for your services, keep clients informed about progress and redirect requests
- Other duties as directed

**What you'll need to succeed**
Your previous experience in a similar role within the Australian Public Service will lead to your success, as well as the below key skills;
- Previous payroll experience
- SAP experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Savvy with numbers
- Government experience

Experience in the use of SAP, Aurion or Chris21 is highly desirable. On the job training will be provided but it is essential that you have a thorough understanding of APS standards, policies and frameworks. You must be an Australian Citizen and possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a baseline personnel security clearance.
