Manager Member Office - Member Engagement - Join our Member Office in advocating for the best interests of our members - Newly created role focusing strategic business planning & reviews - Permanent full-time opportunity (Location agnostic) **The Role** Reporting to the Head of Member Office, Member Engagement, you will support the Member Office in meeting the RSEL Boards' Regulatory responsibilities and expectations through monitoring, assessing, and challenging the Service providers contracted to deliver to these standards. You will also assist with strategic business planning sessions and support the annual business planning process including the RSEL business plans, Business Performance reviews and Legislated Outcomes Assessments. **Key Responsibilities**: - Support the oversight and challenge activities relating to the provision of advice, including general, intrafund and personal/comprehensive advice. - Support Corporate Affairs & Marketing in activities related to Member Engagement as required. - Assisting the RSEL Boards to fulfil their prudential requirements including, but not limited to, the following Prudential Standards SPS 220, SPS521 and SPS 515. - Provide member analysis of the superannuation business to assist the RSELs with understanding the membership and their needs. - Build solid working relationship with relevant functional areas and promote the Member Office. - Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to inform strategic planning and appropriate benchmarking. - Possess a strong understanding of the products and services provided to members. - Stay up to date with industry initiatives, reforms, and regulations to provide independent strategic and technical advice to RSEL Directors, including monitoring and assessing the impact of regulatory/business change on the superannuation business. - Provide advice to Service Providers on the RSELs' expectations, and aide Service Providers in effectively delivering high quality reports and information to the RSEL Boards. - Advocate the fiduciary role of the RSELs inside Insignia, acting in the interest of members and being an independent advocate for the RSEL Directors in the management and identification of conflicts of interest. - Prepare reports as required. - Create an environment which fosters open dialogue and challenge with the Member Office and Service Providers. - Take all reasonable steps to ensure that reporting provided to the RSEL Boards' complies with all obligations under relevant laws and prudential and regulatory requirements. - Build effective relationships with the wider business fostering trust and expanding the knowledge and importance of the superannuation business within Insignia. - Maintain strong relationships with Directors / Committee members in order to facilitate a strong collaborative working environment. - Foster a deep understanding of members and their needs within the Member Office **To be successful in this role you will possess**: - Experience in financial services/ superannuation/ wealth industry. - Demonstrated experience in strategy and business planning - Possess a working knowledge of product / service complexities and the associated risks posed by these complexities. - High level awareness of superannuation law, including SIS Act, Corporations, APRA and ASIC prudential standards and guidance (as relevant), and the superannuation regulatory environment. - Community Standards and Expectations. - Strong communication skills. - Innovative and independent thinking. - Ability to navigate environments undergoing significant change. - Commitment to foster an environment that promotes ethics & diversity. - Stakeholder management with strong relationship building and negotiation skills. - Commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. - Values-driven & exemplary behaviours. - Conflicts of interest management. **Benefits** - Development opportunities at an ASX top 200 company - A professional, supportive and friendly culture - A range of corporate and lifestyle benefits **The Business** Insignia Financial is one of Australia's leading wealth management organisations, undertaking a rapid and exciting transformation.
