
Enforcement Officer

We have an opportunity for an experienced Enforcement Officer to join our team. This position plays an integral role in ensuring council’s statutory duties are fulfilled in relation to planning investigation and enforcement, as required by the Land Use Planning Approvals Act 1993 (LUPPAA), the Clarence Planning Scheme (the Scheme) and other related legislation.
**About you**:
- Certificate IV in Government Investigations (Regulatory Compliance), or a similar qualification.
- Experience in the enforcement of regulatory requirements.
- Commitment to high level customer service delivery.
- Knowledge of legislation relevant to development processes, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
- Computer literacy.
- A current driver’s licence.
- An additional relevant qualification in building, planning, or regulatory enforcement.
- An understanding of specialist principles and policies related to development.
- An understanding of the assessment processes of council (e.g., planning, building, plumbing, health, and infrastructure).
- Experience in Local Government dealing with the land development process with knowledge and understanding of TASCAT and Local Government Services.
