A rare opportunity for a Purchasing/Inventory Planning Team Leader to join an exciting business - specialising specifically in automotive refinishing products.

This key role will help manage Inventory Planning and purchasing for around 8,000 SKU's across 4 brands with multiple retail outlets and a main warehouse.

As the Team Leader you will oversee the day to day management and reporting for a busy and successful operation. Leadership is a key part of this role and to be successful in this role you will have held a supervisory role in a similar environment.

**The Role**
You’ll work closely with the Main Warehouse and Branch Managers assisting with the development of new/improved communication and solutions for the business by helping to manage the Demand planning and purchasing activities to ensure product is available for the sales projections for the team.

Your tasks and duties will include:

- Planning and purchasing inventory from existing approved sources from both local and international suppliers
- Completing the monthly data review in preparation for demand planning ERP functions to be actioned, driving purchase order demands and placing orders on suppliers.
- Internal divisional purchase orders and sales order entry utilising CSV upload procedures
- Preparation of inbound shipments for all locations for ease of receipt by warehouse staff from local and international suppliers.
- Assessing over and undersold items monthly driving open PO maintenance
- Monitoring inventory levels and keeping the Supply Chain team informed, maintaining the good communication across teams
- Maintain backorder status and routinely keep all branches up to date on supply deficiencies

**About You**
To be successful in this role you need:

- Inventory planning and purchasing experience (locally and/or overseas)
- Good, clear communication skills - you’ll be regularly liaising directly with internal branch managers on supply related issues
- Familiar with exporting data to Excel for data review (Advanced level required)
- Experienced with managing and controlling 3000-8000 SKUs
- Experienced in evaluating and setting item demand planning attributes; Lead time, Safety stocks, ABC product categories, MOQs, EOQs
- A friendly and helpful attitude with an eagerness to learn along with an enjoyment of solving Supply Chain challenges
