We need a ‘people person’ that can work unsupervised, is task driven with an attention to detail to join Levande North Lakes Retirement Resort as our Maintenance/ Handyperson. About the Role
As a Maintenance/ Handyperson, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of our Resorts spaces. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll manage routine handyperson and building maintenance tasks and routine cleaning of our indoor and outdoor areas and contribute to the overall satisfaction of our residents. This is a hands-on role where the ability to shift and pivot as demands arise is vital to be successful in the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Work through an established tasks program for the Resort that includes housekeeping duties, presentation awareness, cleaning of internal and external areas and general maintenance.
- Identify additional key needs of the Resort and work with the Maintenance team to incorporate them into the program.
- Uphold workplace health and safety (WH&S) standards and contribute to risk management practices.
- Adopt a proactive approach to the role and seek to improve the standards of the Resort at every opportunity.
- Assist the maintenance team as needed and provide relief during periods of leave.
- Participate in sustainability programs and continuous improvement initiatives

- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle urgent matters
- Good physical health, including the ability to lift and move items up to 15 kg.
- Excellent attention to detail and a solutions-focused approach
- A passion for maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces
- Experience in retirement living or property/facility management.
- A valid driver’s licence
