Colonial Brewing Co is on the look out for an assistant venue manager to join our team working in our Port Melbourne taproom. We are an independent craft brewery located just out of the CBD.

We currently trade, 12pm-11pm on Friday and Saturdays and from 12pm-7pm on Thursdays and Sundays.

We are a 300pax venue that is a locals favorite but you will also be kept interested with lots of fun events running throughout the year and sometimes helping out at offsite activations.

Key responsibilities:

- Hands on leadership and accountability of the team, including supervision and evaluation of performances
- Creating and maintaining an atmosphere where customer service standards can thrive
- Driving sales to meet targets and budgets
- Controlling operational costs
- Compliance in both regulatory and company standards
- Participating in and contributing to group management, marketing and finance projects

The successful applicant will:

- Have suitable experience in hospitality management
- Have a strong understanding of the hospitality and brewery industry, market trends, customer service standards and how to exceed them
- The ability to engage and build relationships with regular clientele
- Have a professional manner and presentation
- Lead from the front and set the best of examples
