Your new opportunity:
The Quality & Risk Manager will form part of the Professional Quality & Risk team which is responsible for: promotion of professional excellence through developing education/CPD; compliance with professional standards; and valuation risk management at Opteon by ensuring we have appropriate risk, quality controls and compliance strategies, industry best valuers, producing quality products and delivering great customer service.

The Quality & Risk Manager will:

- Quality and risk review property valuation reports flagged for "Compliance";
- Provide guidance on technical valuation matters for Opteon's valuation team;
- Join a highly skilled and productive team of expert valuers;
- Subject to the successful applicant's agreement conduct valuations;

What sets you apart from the rest:
Opteon are seeking a motivated professional with a broad range of real estate valuations skills and a keen interest in professional standards, valuation quality and valuation risk.

It is anticipated you:

- Have a Degree in Property (Valuation) or equivalent qualifications
- Are a practicing commercial Valuer and member of API, RICS, PINZ or NZIV
- Have strong attention to detail, report writing and analytical skills
- Have an awareness of identifying property and valuation risk
- Possess excellent IT skills in MS Word, Excel, Teams, ideally with some knowledge of macros and AI for quality checks
- Will be a champion of promoting quality and continuing professional development
- It would be beneficial (but not essential) if you have some knowledge of valuation practices and products in both Australia and New Zealand

The role is part-time, with the opportunity to expand to full-time with agricultural, commercial or development valuations.

Because you will be new to the Opteon PQR team, extension of your skills is anticipated during the initial phase of your position and the PQR team will assist you during this induction period.
