Kroll Restructuring practice aims to provide effective solutions to its clients. Our clients include major banks, asset-based lenders, private equity houses, accountants, solicitors, financial sponsors, lenders, creditors, corporates and individuals. We are tasked with assuming direct responsibility for organizations in distressed situations across virtually every industry and every situation.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as Associate in Sydney. You will be involved in a wide range of interesting and challenging deals, often spanning multiple jurisdictions. This is a unique opportunity to develop your skills in insolvency, restructuring and litigation support through exposure to working with lenders, investors, companies and their advisors in distressed and urgent situations.

**Responsibilities**

Perform bookkeeping function for Australia Restructuring including, where appropriate, the creation and adoption of new workflows in order to:

- Create efficiencies and accuracy with business processes
- Enhance the control environment.

As the practice develops, we will ask you to build and manage additional resources to supplement the bookkeeping function.
- Banking
- Create Master Account Authorities with the major banks and maintain relationships with key bankers.
- Statutory lodgements - ATO
- Oversee and control the lodgement of BAS documentation and ensure any associated tax obligations are met on time.
- Statutory lodgements - ASIC
- Oversee and control the lodgement of all ASIC forms
- Oversee and control annual liquidator license obligations including compliance with Industry Funding Model filings
- Practice Management
- Code opening and management (billing etc)
- Weekly productivity reports
- Opportunities to expand
- Assisting with other components of IPS as required, e.g. potential rollout of the creditor portal

**Requirements**:

- Diploma/Degree in accounting or business administration.
- Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles.
- At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a business-services environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
- Driven, self-starter that can work collaboratively and solve problems
